1959 Eddie Fisher Minor League Baseball Contract and Letters
1959 Eddie Fisher Phoenix PCL Unsigned minor league contract. It is accompanied by 2 letters. One letter is from Fisher to W.D. Ryan the general manager for the PCL Phoenix team rejecting the contract for $750 a month. Then a return letter from Ryan to Fisher increasing the offer to $800 a month and telling him he should accept as he has not proven he can pitch at that level. Fisher eventually did sign and played for Phoenix before moving up to the San Francisco Giants in 1959 and went on to play in the Big Leagues for 15 years winning 85 games.
